Mork member benefits

Mork works without an account — you can shorten a link or upload a file straight away. Signing in with Google is free and unlocks a few extra features. This page lists exactly what changes once you are logged in.

Keep your uploads permanently

Without an account, uploaded files are kept for up to 30 days. The expiry menu stops there and 30 days is also what it starts on. Once you are signed in the menu gains a "forever" option, and anything you create with it will not expire on its own.

Plain short links are not affected. They take up no storage, so they stay valid indefinitely whether or not you sign in.

Upload more files at once

Members can send more files in a single upload. The size limit per file is the same for everyone; only the number of files changes.

  • Images:5 per upload without an account → 10 per upload as a member
  • Audio:2 per upload without an account → 3 per upload as a member
  • Video:1 per upload, the same for everyone

Automatic watermark on images

When you upload an image while logged in, you can enter watermark text (up to 32 characters) and Mork draws it onto the image before it is stored. The field stays disabled for visitors who are not signed in.

Member-only sharing

Turn on "Member only" when you create a link and Mork will ask visitors to sign in before they can open it. Anyone who is not logged in sees a notice instead of your content, which raises the bar for a leaked link being useful to a stranger. The switch is only selectable once you are signed in yourself.

Your full history, not just the last 10

Without an account the management page only shows your 10 most recent records. As a member every record you have created is listed and paged, so nothing drops off the end.

Search your links

The search box on Manage Links is available to members only. You can look up a record by its short code or by the post content you saved with it.

Records follow your account, not your browser

This is the difference that matters most. Without an account your records are tied to an identifier stored in this browser — clear your cookies, switch to your phone, or open a private window and you can no longer reach them, which also means you can no longer change the password, adjust the view limit or delete them. Once you sign in, your records belong to your account and stay reachable from any device.

How to sign in

Open the panel on the right-hand side of any page and use the Google button. There is no separate registration step and no password to remember.
