Uploading images

This guide covers how to share images with Mork, and what each option does.

Sharing images

You can upload several images at once — five per upload as a guest, ten once you sign in. Every one of them can carry a password, an expiry time and a view limit.

Advanced options

The advanced options for an image upload
  • Password protection: visitors have to enter the right password before the image opens.
  • View limit: cap how many people can see the image. The same person opening it again is not counted twice, and once the limit is reached the link closes itself.
  • Expiry time: set a deadline, and the image link stops working when it passes. Guests can set up to 30 days; signed in, you can also choose "♾️ Forever".
  • Post: write a short note about what the image is, so it is easy to find later.

How long files are kept

Without an account, images are kept for up to 30 days. Thirty days is the longest option in the expiry menu, and it is also what you get if you do not choose one. Sign in and the menu gains a "♾️ Forever" option — choose that and the link never expires on its own.

When the deadline passes the link stops working at once — nobody can open it, however they came by the URL. You can also delete it by hand at any time from Manage Links. Plain short links take up no storage, so this limit does not apply to them.

The full details are in the FAQ, and the other differences between members and guests are covered in Member features.

Cloudflare Turnstile bot check

Mork uses Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots and scrapers out. It only asks you to prove yourself when something looks unusual, so normal use is never interrupted.
